mserror
Householders are now banned from lighting fires in Lan Krabu Sub-district. If they light a fire, council employees visit and ensure it is extinguished. Note that there is a good collection system for general and green waste. I was amazed and pleased to hear of this progessive policy, and hope that it spreads. (Unfortunately where I live the burning continues. And will continue because the council tells us to bury food scraps and green waste: keen to dig holes anyone? and food for rats. They even removed green coconut shells from the bin and left them there.)
fredob43
No mention of the sugar cane burning I suspect. The idea seems fine but like all the Thai ideas they will never be come to fruition.
