Possibly the reg/rectifier.

Other side the ECU.

Maybe.

Probably.

Possibly.

Read somewhere what they are but forgotten.

Edit -

either way it's retro-industrial-nouvo-chic-styling don't you know.

The fuse box.  Apparently, there's also a dummy one on the other side to provide 'design balance'.

I would go get a stainless steel cover made for it.

Nice spot for a fuse box - good access - but agree with Nicky above !!!

Yes I gonna contact the seller and tell him the deal is off😀😀

The rectifier sits above the rear wheel but but the 1st owner has already bought a protection box and fitted.

The seat is a real pain to get on/off, keyhole also above the rear tire and you almost have to get on your knees to get to it, <deleted>!

I guess you pay a price for a relatively cheap bike.

There is aftermarket stuff to cover it up or change the look.

Another thing that would make me buy this bike over the MT09, and pay an extra 40k (1000GBP!), is that it has a round clock over an oblong clock.

Call me old fashioned (again) but i despise modern dashes with that bar graph horrible rev counter thing and awful constantly changing numbers flashing up at me.

Yeah i know the clock is digital on an XSR, but at least it is ROUND.

And the revs sorta follow the circle.

That is a deal breaker on an MT09. revolting dash.

Is this engine the same power over all the models? Or tuned differently for each model.

MT09 - XSR900 identical.

Touring GT Fazer model - dunno but prolly same.

MT07 - XSR700 identical.

I have heard the new T7 (Tenere700) available later this year will have different final drive gearing and a different ECU tune, otherwise identical.

Well thaiguzzi, looks like I will have to eat my words about the XSR900 because I just bought one. It looks way better in the flesh than I expected.

The owner was kind enough to take me on a fairly long ride, him on his Tracer 900GT and me on the XSR. That's why he is selling the XSR, for his needs the GT is better.

Boy this bike got torque man, it pulls hard from 3000rpm, the engine is just awesome, absolutely loves it.

Maybe I get a Triumph when I turn 60 in 3 years time but until then I gonna enjoy my XSR900.

I put down a deposit already and will hopefully seal the deal tomorrow and will post a couple of photos.

Saw it yesterday too. Amazing deal. Good luck!

@thaiguzzi did the deal go through? If so, how do you like the bike? Also interested if you ever got around to testing the Honda.
