Carol H
We came to Samui from Malaysia but now have to leave the boat and return home for medical treatment. I read today of a 20000baht mandatory bond and horror stories of the hoops you must jump. Does anyone know what we have to do? Also is it possible to extend the temporary import permit for the boat? blackcab
Is your question about: a. Immigration procedures for yourself, or b. Customs procedures for your boat, or c. Both a and b
Lovethailandelite
You MUST contact Thai customs as your boat has entered on a temporary Import licence.
DrJack54
Very unusual situation. I mean you "both have to return for medical treatment". Return where? Can't perhaps one of you seek medical treatment in Thailand. It has good medical facilities. So what's the plan? ....nick off to another country and leave boat Thailand. Don't think that's a plan
ubonjoe
Not sure where this topic belongs. I have moved it to the travel forum since it is not visa related.

Where is "home"? Malaysia? Is that where the boat is normally kept? It might be simplest for you to fly home and get a friend to sail the boat back for you. Especially if you dont really know if or when you will be coming back here again.
melvinmelvin
If you had gone to Phuket I think it would have been easier for you to get some clarity re your situation. The larger marinas in Phuket have people with experience in such matters. Foreign registered vessel - long or short time transits
