Melania, the First Lady of the United States, going home, is an official jaunt?

If you believe this to be a valid argument, you're probably a liberal.

The First Lady is always protected by the secret service part of that protection is Air Force One official or otherwise. The same would be true for Pelosi should she run in and win the presidential elections. It seems you just don't get it.

I think her husband could afford to upgrade her to business class - haha.  The 535 members of Congress who make up the Legislative branch of the U.S. government fly commercial.  Supreme court justices, who make up Judicial branch, fly commercial also. So the wife of a member of the Executive branch needs a private plane why?

Straight out of the Trump (schoolyard) playbook.

Perhaps out of his "mental" playbook. There is no "written" playbook as he makes it all up on the fly, shoots from the hip, doesn't even aim.

But speaking of "mental" !

Showing Nancy that she is not the one that is in charge.

If they were both men, it could be said, "showing Nancy who's got the bigger dick".

Or at least "trying" to show Nancy.

Pelosi thought she could pull off this Junket with the government shutdown going on?

I'm laughing so hard my sides hurt! LOL

Sometimes, for good reason, a laugh can become a cry.

"We'll see".

If you believe there is no sick irony here, you might be a liberal.

PS: Now do Michelle Obama.

Unfit?

Id say Trump is the only modern President with the testicular fortitude to use his position to slap down democrats with the full force of the presidency.

Completely fit, and totally necessary.

I find the whole thing pretty funny.

It's the death of politics.

Just like capitalism is coming to an end, so is politics.

The death of capitalism is the massive transfer of wealth - to places it no longer gets spent. We'll see our first trillionaires soon. quite pointless for anyone to have or control that much wealth. Not that I have a solution. Certainly isn't socialism.

The death of politics is partly caused by capitalism. It's a money game. Politicians are rich through contributions. They desperately need to stay in the game to maintain the money flow. Changing side every 8 years is essential to maintain that money flow. Nobody really cares about the people. All that is important is getting into power,  blocking everything the opposition does AND making sure the donors are given adequate payback.

The end result here is that nothing ever changes. Government becomes 100% ineffective. Which might actually be a good thing if we could just keep them away from our money.

Nah nah nah nah nah. You tried to stop me from giving my State of the Union speech, and I am going to stop you, and your fellow democratic congress people from taking this trip to Afghanistan, and Brussels, to bolster the much needed support for NATO, that I have been trying very hard to destroy. I just do not like it when people oppose me. It is not a healthy thing to do, and I really want to teach you not to attempt to block anything I do. This is lesson number one.

Now, back to reality. Trump is losing a tremendous amount of support over this wall, even within his own camp. A recent survey showed that white, uneducated men were tired of the shutdown, and his support among that major base was dropping. Trump is panicked. He is an unstable, unhinged non genius. This wall may be his undoing. It was a severe miscalculation, especially in light of his terrible negotiation skills. How is he going to be able to back himself out of this corner? The hole is getting deeper every day. Just like with the hole he dug with China.

In a recent poll of political scientists Trump was voted next to last, at 44th. Only Grover Cleveland surpassed him, as the worst president in American history. And that was across the board. When they polled only conservative political scientists, he ranked 40th. His mediocrity, inability to attract and keep talent, and lack of his own personal competence continues to astonish most of us, on a daily basis.

While Pelosi is still reeling from this pimp-slap, next step is announce that hes going to hold the State of the union in the Senate surrounded by Angel Moms and border patrol.

He can't get a Senate invitation.

Requires 60 votes that can't be reached without Democrat's support.

But holding a State of the Union on the steps in front of Congress might be a possibility, albeit in the cold, snowy or raining weather.

As Speaker of the House Pelosi won both her congressional and House elections making her third in the line of succession to the presidency.

Melania is only in line as a widow.

Sounds good!

He'd be right at home outside on the steps: cold personality, a bit of a snowflake, still wet behind the ears.

What a perfect fit.

Pelosi doesn’t have to run in and win a Presidential election to become President.

The removal of Trump (assured) AND Pence (no unlikely) by impeachment/resignation/ill-health/death etc would result in the Speaker of The House becoming President .

Trump doesn't even take his salary. He has remained in Washington through the whole holiday season, while the Dems are partying in Puerto Rico.

I bet his new tax cuts for the wealthy is worth more than his salary.... but what would impress me is if he also declines (or funds) all the services (costs) attached to be president, or ex president.

his non acceptance of a salary is nothing but a stunt.... and whilst perpetuating that stupidity, how about a link to dems partying in PR (or anywhere, for that matter)..... fake news bro

But it would never happen. The disgraceful act he committed in France, by refusing to honor the veterans (which he adamantly refused to be) because of the rain, proved he has a fear of moisture. Just one of his many, many phobias.

I guess while everyone was fawning over Pelosi trying to stop Trump from delivering his state of the union address, and attempting to deny him a platform to defend his actions publicly to the people over the shutdown, they forgot that he still is, you know, the President of the United States and commander in chief of the US military.

The state of the union is not designed as a public relations devise.... it’s not about defending, it’s about explaining.... explaining is not what donal does... he’s been asked, but refuses, beyond unsubstantiated sound bites which have been proven to be wrong, time and again

trumps actions in everything, from Kanye to this, does nothing but denigrate the Oval Office.

humpty dumpy sat on the wall.... and we know what happened to him ????
