Swiss man accused of theft and overstaying visa faces deportation

The Immigration Bureau plans to blacklist and deport a Swiss man who overstayed his visa and is also accused of series of thefts in Nongkhai and Phuket provinces.

Low pressure from China will confine air pollution in Bangkok for next 7 days

Air pollution in and around Bangkok is expected to remain bad if not worse in the next seven days due to the onset of low pressure from China which will keep PM2.5 dust particles hovering in the area from spreading out, said Deputy Prime Minister Chatchai Sarikulya.

Drunk cycling will soon be considered legal offence with 500 baht fine

Drunk bicyclists who are currently immune to litigation because there is no law to make drunk cycling an offence will in the near future face a fine of 500 baht under a new traffic bill which passed the first reading of the National Legislative Assembly on Thursday.

Too many monkeys: Hua Hin to sterilize 1,200 Macaques

BOGOTA (Reuters) - Colombia's ELN rebel group was responsible for the car bomb attack against a police academy that killed at least 21 and injured dozens, President Ivan Duque said on Friday, making it almost impossible peace talks with the insurgent group can soon restart.
