Don't hold your breath. Bar-room gossip is notoriously low of detail. and fact, generally.

You mean like all that gossip about Khun Prayut, Prawit, Suthep etc ? None, not one of them, has been convicted of any crime AFAIK.

Now, how many Shins and their extended family have?

You forgot to mention the farmers' suicides epidemic - a usual part of this sort of one note nonsense, a mixture of ignorance and deep-seated prejudice.

Ah yes, the voice of reason and bliss.

Well in their own imagination anyway.

No, he made it up. Furthermore, she has never been found guilty of corruption.

True she has never been found guilty of corruption - but don't think she's ever been charged with it either.

She wasn't charged with anything relating to the illegal issuing of passports to her brother. No.1 Cousin was taking the wrap for that but it's all gone quiet.

They are all guilty of treason out of their own mouths. Sorry friend, I'm usually up for a sensible and intelligent conversation, but this no longer qualifies. Have a nice day.

Yes they do.

But aren't their laws, probably in many countries, that prohibit convicted criminals, whether serving their sentence or on the run as fugitives from holding office?

That would mainly apply to fugitives in their own country.

Take a good look at former PMs and Presidents in Italy and one or two other western countries plus S Korea and Japan who were holding high offices right up until they were convicted

Agreed - but does that apply to traitors who award themselves freedom from prosecution. Shouldn't that be in the mix?

It ought to be; along with trying to give criminal relatives immunity and amnesty along with yourself and gang. One side tried and failed, one had the muscle to do it.

What should be in the mix is a free from interference, fair to all, justice system complete with unbiased enforcement agencies.

Sadly no chance of that happening.

Western countries aren't the paragons of justice and virtue the film and media industry used to feed us they were.

There is one Labor MP, a career MP for the same constituency for over 40 years. There was an investigation into his wealth - several very expensive properties owned, children all going to private schools, etc etc. Then caught up in illegal drugs scandal with Romanian rent boys. Investigations going nowhere. They even stopped the one on wealth because he "wasn't feeling well and couldn't face answering questions"; and he was photographed out and about the next day at some Asian do.

It's not who you know it's what you know about who you know that counts!

Sensible and intelligent - you mean if it agrees with your nonsense!

You fail to see the point being illustrated as it doesn't fit your agenda.

Have a nice day and be careful not to fall of any bar stools.

That is not the point.

I asked for Yingluck.

So there is no evidence nor even suspicions

Or is it that they really operate a little game where only minor players, minions and the plebs get punished?

She could have been charged with illegally issuing passports to her criminal fugitive brother; or for illegally allowing him to Skype into cabinet meetings which some colleagues confirmed was the case; and perhaps she didn't pay customs duty on the 30+ pearl necklace sets she bragged about buying in China when meeting her brother prior to absconding.

She's a compulsive liar like the rest of them. And a member of the elite tier that gets to play these games. enjoy their ill gotten gains and most importantly, given the chance to run away.

That's the game.

True enough. The courts (and related agencies) buckled before Thaksin and they buckle now. It would be tempting to say they simply defer to political power but it's more complicated than that.

But did they commit any?

Are we ever likely to know?

What's really happened over the last 10-20 years; the former alliances, "friendships" and fall outs?

Would make a good book/film if the truth ever comes out. But by the time it does will be an historical drama!

I think your're right. It is more complicated than that. And deeply ingrained.

They are all in it for the money but don't want to share it and think they are all entitled to steal rob and pillage. All of them.

She made a pile of cash while fleecing Thailand & can now invest in whatever she likes to do!

Just like other family members did.

Your entire post is simply not true - Trumpism at its finest.
