As driving lessons are now compulsory for Thais to obtain a license, you might also try asking at the Land Transport office at Lipa Noi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My manager had the lessons and also had to take the test. (She failed the first one on parking.) At the time I was heartened with her feedback from the Land Transport office. One old guy who was also taking the test asked her for the answers. She said 'No - do them yourself'. He could not read - failed! Also a policeman turned up with his son and asked for a license. The tester said to sit him down and she would proceed with the test. The policeman 'insisted' on just having the license. He was kicked out and the son was told to come back the next day - alone! In case you're from Chaweng, it will be a good variant. Or you can also check the cars and transportation in Thailand in the expat community driving schools (simply choose your location from the list).
