Any idea where to buy smoked mackerel in Pattaya? If they are coming from the UK just tell them to bring some with them as it's better and cheaper there. Same with most other food items apart from chicken, pork, rice and mangoes.

Thanks If they buy the mackerel in those vacuum sealed packs in a UK supermarket on the day of travel you will find that suitably kept cool they last a lot longer than the eat/sell-by-date. Just check the dates when you buy and pick out the latest ones. I have eaten smoked mackerel one or two weeks after recommended. You can probably also freeze the packs once they arrive in Thailand although the texture might be affected,
