5555555, I thought the sale of sex toys was not illegal only

the import ? I read that on here so might not be true!.

Good question Geordie.  I once asked, on a previous thread, what is it, specifically, that is illegal?  Is it sale or purchase, import, possession or use?

1) the usual bakshish was not paid?
2) some other forces are trying to get into this business
3) they mistook the calendar for Wednesday, when the pavements are swept (makes you wonder, what the sweepers do from Thursday to Tuesday)

Well, then it is back to online shopping on the internet again - me thinks!

But they persisted. Wirot said that some of the drugs are dangerous and this kind of activity brings Thailand into disrepute.

I beg to differ, corrupt officials is what brings Thailand into disrepute.

Walk a couple of your kids past a whole table full ginormous plastic schlongs right at kiddie eye level, then explain to them what they are.  Or down in Chinatown where they sell porn DVDs with spread eagle women and gay men fully engorged on the cover, and try to explain that one to your kiddo's.   That definitely turns off family tourism.

I'm all for the easy availability of safe sex toys and legal aged porn.  But keep it where the kids aren't exposed to it right in their face.  And there is no excuse for selling counterfeit blue pills, in the open or behind the counter.

For every sex tourist they can shed, I'd bet they'd more than offset the revenue with families on holiday.  Of course, I may be wrong.  Appealing to the vices has always been easy money...

You'd seriously bring your kid to a known "red light district" for a holiday? ????

I'd explain to my kids quite simply that sex is a natural thing, and there are quite unnatural things among the "utilities" and films - nothing to be scared of, but nothing to imitate as well. laadedaa - such is human life x)

Hard to avoid lower Suk if you stay in any of the 200 hotels within a stone's throw and want to go out to dinner.

Sure it is. Just ride the train past nana. Dont stay between Terminal 21 and Nana. Easy.
