AllanB
Today I went into the Kawasaki dealer to see what they had and everything was very expensive. One bike I had previously considered when I bought my CRF was the Versus 300 and they had one in stock with "free" adventure touring pack, panniers, screen etc. It felt confortable, and looked like a "big bike", but then I remembered the tiny little engine (and my CRF experience)...then I heard the price B227,000, for a 300!!!! In GBP that is more than £5,600 for a wheezing home built bike. One of the bikes I have been considering for my European tourer is the 650cc Interceptor, a bike full of character and by all accounts well built and reliable, good for 100mph+, if I ever needed it. Price £5,500. So for the 2 bikes and size of playground, I will live with the CRF and spend my very weak GBP on a proper bike. If Brexit ever happens (lol), it may even go down in price and they are talking about building these in the UK....Also I can try before I buy. Just an observation.
