david_je Posted February 7, 2019 Share Posted February 7, 2019 I recently had overnight sleep test at Chula that returned diagnosis of OSA, possibly the cause of atrial fibrillation episodes I have experienced at night. Now I'm looking at treatment, but have not been impressed by the ENT doc at Chula who prescribed the test. Can someone who has been treated for this recommend a good specialist? Thanks. Dear Sheryl, If the sleep apnea is caused by structural nasal-throat breathing problem, is it more appropriate to see a pulmonologist like Dr. Naricha or an ENT specialist? Two ENT docs said my breathing difficulty at night was caused by my enlarged turbinates and they recommended tubinoplasty. Should I go ahead with this, or consult Dr. Naricha first? But she may, based on her experience with OSA, have some insight into the likelihood that it would solve your problem. Most sleep medicine specialists are pulmonologists.
