Cereal Posted February 12, 2019 Share Posted February 12, 2019 With the constant movement of the camera showing the guy climbed and jumping, it makes me think that it was not a CCTV camera but held in someone's hand, like a smart phone for example. And you expect there should be people watching each screen constantly and be able to react and stop someone who has just decided to jump over a barrier that might only be visible on one camera? I mean no-one ever commits suicide in the West where there is CCTV because the super vigilant CCTV watchers aren't on their phone and they pop up in an instant to stop it. I sometimes make the same mistake, but if i let it affect my mood and think it through, then i soon realize that the problem is not the news, but how i look at the news. (Your) reality is only created by your own perception. For every negative event we have 2 main choices: - auto thought and start digging on the negatives (glass half empty) - interrupt auto thought, and start digging on the positives (glass half full) So for this article: - A man was so desperate that he killed himself. Is the world so bad that there are reasons to jump? Let me think of some reasons.... OR: - A man was so desperate that he killed himself.
