May as well have a fake coup as they gained nothing with the real one, anyroad, I thought the fake coup was to get rid of Prayut , seems Prayut has miss read the whole shebang and thinks he's tossin out some dissenters in the ranks , how wrong can you be , bring on the fake coup

Maybe no coup but certainly the military is not united at the top and at the bottom. Prayut and his NCPO are hanging on by a thread and making suspicious glances at each other.

They are hardly united...there are plenty of watermelons among them who would rather not see another military-run government, whether democratically elected or not.

How can there be another coup till we get a new democratic government to remove?

New democratic government FORGET IT it will never ever happened, the military will allways have the main power in this country !!! Check the current constitution in the first case.

I have long held that preparations for not going to the polls would be set in motion

if the Thai people had the nerve not to believe in Prayut and his Junta.

Ever wonder why he has not located to lead a political party in elections.

Coz it is not going to happen.

The snout is super glued to the trough.

The rotten truth is that Thailand will never transition to a modern democracy until pretty fundamental changes happen

That institution that we can't mention seems to be reasserting itself in a very retrograde way. That's highly worrying

And until Thai's collectively learn the same lesson that the South Americans did 20 years ago, and Generals start ending up in court and behind bars for staging coups, nothing will change

If the military and Prayut say there is no coup all that is left to be determined is what day it will occur.

The next coup will not be the same as last 2 coups. With the key puppet masters fading and dying, the coup will be staged for different reasons and unlikely to be welcomed with roses and without incidents.
