webfact Posted February 13, 2019 Share Posted February 13, 2019 The Three Stooges: Chinese trio arrested after running multi million baht betting operation in Jomtien Picture: Sanook Our picture from Sanook shows how it felt for three Chinese nationals after a contingent of police armed with a search warrant went to a luxury condo in the Jomtien area of Pattaya. They found the men taking bets on football, lotteries and games of various kinds. Their daily turnover was two million baht. Arrested were Wu Zejun, 31, Gou Bo, 28 and Zhao Lei, 31. They said they had been working in the betting business for two years but had been in Thailand only a month. Computer notebooks, an iPad, four phones and two bankbooks were taken into evidence. The men have been charged with running a gambling operation and working without a work permit and working on a temporary stay visa. They have been detained by Na Jomtien police following the raid by the local force, Pattaya tourist police and Chonburi provincial immigration.
