Seems the folks suffering from TDS isn't looking at the big picture because this spending bill is about so much more than Border Security.

But Trump is making it all about border security.

The whole wall issue, is a made up campaign slogan, that some have bought into. It has never been even close to an emergency. The only emergency is the fact that Trump promised the wall to his supporters, and as hard as he has tried, he just cannot get one built. We cannot help the fact that Trump is a horrible negotiator. Few want the wall. The majority of Americans do not favor it, or want it. It is nonsense. Made up garbage. And now this unstable non genius is going to trigger a constitutional crisis, by invoking emergency powers? It very well may be the beginning of the end for him. Oh, I forgot. There are already 17 investigation into Trump, and that does not include the congressional investigations. Don't even begin to parrot the witch hunt nonsense. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 34 people and three companies that we know of — the latest being longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone. That group is composed of six former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Seven of these people (including five of the six former Trump advisers) have pleaded guilty.

Where did this wall idea originate?

Joshua Green had good access to Trump insiders, including Sam Nunberg, who worked with Stone. “Roger Stone and I came up with the idea of ‘the Wall,’ and we talked to Steve [Bannon] about it,” according to Nunberg. “It was to make sure he [Trump] talked about immigration.” The concept of the Wall did not click right away with the candidate. “Initially, Trump seemed indifferent to the idea,” writes Green. “But in January 2015, he tried it out at the Iowa Freedom Summit, a presidential cattle call put on by David Bossie’s group, Citizens United. ‘One of his pledges was, ‘I will build a Wall,’ and the place just went nuts,’ said Nunberg. Warming to the concept, Trump waited a beat and then added a flourish that brought down the house. ‘Nobody,’ he said, ‘builds like Trump.’”

It has just been announced. The deflector in chief, has just shot himself in the foot, again. He declared a national emergency, over a fake, made up border (Trump wall of hubris) crisis. This will be the end for him. 65% of Americans polled, including many conservatives, said they did NOT want a national emergency invoked. Another tone deaf move, by the neophyte, who cannot negotiate a deal, to save his life, or his political career.

Want some real facts? Despite his protestations to the contrary, and his fake political rhetoric, Americans are the real problem here. 80.7% of the prison population in the US, are American citizens. Americans and naturalized Americans commit three times as many homicides annually, as illegal immigrants, and nine time as many murders as legal immigrants. Those are facts which can easily be verified, by anyone who is concerned with truth, rather than slogans and false, vitriolic campaign nonsense, meant to drum up racism, hatred and division. Rudy said truth is not truth. Well, the reality is, truth is truth, despite what this madman would have us believe.

Trouble is we entered this era when facts don't seem to matter.

I fondly remember the days of my youth when we had robust debate on the meaning of the facts, but not the facts themselves.

Now we are in a world, where as Colbert rightly said...'truthiisim' trumps fact.

You can have all the fact checkers in the world, but people seem to believe, from whatever side, that if they can find some bizarre website that will confirm their version of truthiism, all is good.

Strange times we live in
