jko
Has anybody recently signed over their dead body to medical science in CNX? Would appreciate an update on current requirements and formalities and best way to get this done quickly. Thanks if you can help.

scorecard
Yes to some extent possible but within some guidelines. Nancyl has a lot of knowledge on this subject, hopefully she will be along to fully answer your question. Good luck.
EricTh
I doubt it is for medical science as the science is already matured. It is more like using our dead body for the students to learn and experiment on.
CMMCB
Yes, I did it last year. Easy form to fill in and a photo needed for your card which you then need to keep with you. A little bit difficult to find the office, but ask around in Suan Dork hospital, a little N of the main buildings, and you'll be pointed in the right direction. Many exclusions, perhaps surprisingly: they don't want over 80s and quite a long list of ailments which make them not interested. The bodies are then used for anatomy students' classes and later given a very respectful ceremony and cremation.
