ratcatcher Posted February 16, 2019 Share Posted February 16, 2019 10 Years ago when I applied for my first one, when we lived in Pathum Thani, I had to supply copies of my passport, my Thai marriage certificate and attached paper Kor ror 2, copies of my divorce paper from Canada, translated into Thai and notarized by Thai M.O.F.A. at CW.Bangkok. Copies of my wife's Tabien Ban, ID card. They may ask for some additional papers which I did not need. Some say not worth the effort, I won't argue with that but you decide. And here the offices have different expectations on the how-to. Some are happy with a paper from a local translator, others want notarization from "Bangkok". Next page has your details (usually the only person entered, only foreigners in the house). Same format as the "blue house book". A list of persons registered to (live in) this house. if you move to new location/house, new yellow house book required. No witnesses e.g. My wife was good enough. If you are single they might require one or more reputable Thai persons to testify that you live in that house. As written: "it depends", "bit of luck". The yellow book doesn't become void, unless you get a form from the amphur to move it. Most/most Thais don't live where there Tabien Baan shows.
