Pilotman
Love NFL, great season just finished. Looking forward to the pre-season later in the year. So now I move on to my 'NFL out of season' sports interests, F1 and MOTO GP. MOTO GP is great, exciting, riveting and always great races, but F1, a sport I have followed for the best part of 40 years, is boring, uninteresting and it looks like it will be the same again this year. When are they ever going to get their act together, if ever. I actually fell asleep watching 2 of the races last year. I now record them and fast forward the boring bits, which are most of the laps. And if I hear one more 50 minute discussion about tyre compounds I will scream. So disappointing when I remember the 80s and 90s. Bring back refuelling and tyres that can last a whole race, that would be a good start. Mix up the grid with 2 shorter races on the weekend, reverse grid for race two depending on the order of finishing in race one. Then it might be worth watching. Ah well, 2019 NFL season not too far away !!

Watch MotoGP for yongs it is better at the moment got a bit boring some years back but I mostly blame that on the camera cover. Good to see many more manufacturers competing again now, also in 2019 there using a 750cc Triumph engine in Moto 2.
HAKAPALITA
F1 should perk up a bit with the new drivers in top teams..All of them seem hopeless , Dando dildo sounds iffy for a start.????[emoji481]Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

jesimps
NFL, the game only Spams can get excited about. Called football when it's played with the hands. Huge men in shoulder pads, crash helmets and nickerbockers throwing a square "ball" around. Just when you think it might get interesting, play stops. Usually after about 5 seconds. There has to be a reason why it's rejected by the rest of the world. Give me F1 any day, it's far more exciting.
kingstonkid
The problem with F1 is that the cars are not equal they need Get things closer and make it easier to pass. Imagine if all teams had the relatively same equipment. I would love to see a F1 on a Nascar or circle track
natway09
And will continue to get more boring with the Yanks running it along with more safety issues than necessary. Motor racing used to be a dangerous sport ,,, now safer than driving on Thai roads
TBWG
F1 is passable if you follow the midfield scraps as the predictable winning teams disappear into the distance! Have a feeling the midfield is going to be far tighter and more unpredictable this season added to he fact all the new boys are quite capable. Let's hope anglo thai Alex Albon shows some promise. Brunolem
F1 started dying when the big manufacturers (Renault) entered the competition with unlimited budgets in the early 80s, and it received the coup de grace on May 1st 1994, when Senna was killed and the people hiding behind, such as Bernie Ecclestone, showed their true faces. Since then, it has become a procession of shining cars riding on rails, with not one spot of oil on any mechanics, which are barely touching the cars anyway. Give me back the 70s (as for many other things), and then we can start talking: a Ford Cosworth for every team, a set of Michelin tyres, no communication at all between the stands and the car/driver (burn the damn computers) and then we'll have some sport instead of a Davos on wheels, where everything is about show... Mansell
People are always complaining about F1, whether it is now or the past. Personally I've been following the sport since the Moss races. Sometimes it's exciting and others not. If you are a fan of Lewis it is fun to see him breaking the records of many others. As for Williams dominating in the past....hardly.....MacLaren one year won every race except one, but it was still exciting stuff as Senna and Prost fought it out. Admittedly more drivers won back then, but more drivers died as well.....not fun for anybody. This season should offer easier passing because with the changed wings the cars will be able to follow easier and more closely......according to a Haas driver it is easier to follow now. As for the NFL, three hours for about ten minutes of actual action. In my book football has become somewhat boring with sometimes two back players passing the ball between them six or eight times. Or taking it all the way forward and under pressure it goes all the way back to the goalkeeper......get rid of that nonsense. But two top teams playing at a 100 percent for ninety minutes with really talented attackers like Eden Hazard or Kane makes it compelling. Where is Georgie Best when you need him......sad. unamazedloso
Give up the grog and its all boring and a little gay with regards to ball sports. Better doing it than watching it. Or something like that.... Im a little old now and dont race motorcycles or cars no more but still ride and drive like i do.... I stopped watching f1 years ago. The last time i put in effort is to go see the f1 car in bkk going up and down the road. That was reallyyyyy boring. 1min driving, hours of cleaning roads and working out where bumps are... My suggestion is find something else of interest.

Half of the races were determined in Q3. No passing. BORING BORING BORING. At least Vettel kept us entertained with his screw-ups. I do get tired of watching Verstappen behave like a spoiled child. Lewis was sublime.
Thingamabob
Too many regulations, too many officials, too many safety provisions. In the '50s, '60s and early '70s the drivers were heroes, risking life and limb. Then along came Jackie Stewart, and things would never be the same again. IAMHERE
Anybody think the results this year will be different than last year? I don't, it will be a repeat of the top 3 teams in the same order as last year. The four thru six may change a bit, the also rans will be about the same order as last year too. So, essentially you are watching a repeat, like going to the movies two days or weeks in a row and watching the same film. I get real tired of not seeing my favorite team cars because they aren't leading the race. Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull is all you see on the TV on any televised race, I'm not interested in a show with 95% just those three teams. Watching any telecast is pretty much the same as watching the last race; same same since 2014. Show more of the race for fourth place.
Ulic
I still enjoy F1, yes some of the races are too processional but it is still interesting to me. I look forward to this year with significant rule changes. The Ferrari powered cars are all looking strong as we approach the first race in a couple of weeks but with many teams developing their aerodynamics at full pace and the usual sandbaggers (Mercedes) we really won't know anything until the first race. Its very clear that you never watch any races, try to complain about something you do watch. If verstappen where to drive in a benz or ferrari he would have been champion for a few years already , the things he does in that red bull are amazing just watch the rain race in brazile and that will change your mind and if it doesn't ,go watch nicolodeon or sesamestreet

AlexRich
Formula 1, Nascar, or indeed any race does nothing for me at all. Can't stand Golf, Snooker or sports that are exclusive to homosexuals, like Cricket and Rugby. I'll watch boxing and major football games (the original, not grid iron) as well as athletics. And female beach volleyball, more for the soft porn than the sport.
cornishcarlos
I'm actually looking fwd to this season !! Sure it will be the same top 3 teams but that has mostly been the case for years. At least this year we have some young blood to challenge the "lead" drivers in Ferrari and Red bull.. Middle order should provide some good racing too. Don't write it off until it's a write off..
