Strong Thai baht hurting low income farangs

Recommended Posts

Bloomberg reports that Thai baht is very strong in 2019 after a great run in 2018. Tourism is also on the rise again after a dip in 2018. These developments are great for the Thai economy, but for marginal farangs the strong Thai baht will create more financial headaches.

I wonder if the Thai economy will accelerate after the elections. The Thai baht will get even more stronger if that happens.

A strong economy does not necessarily translate to a stronger currency. In any event, I doubt very much the economy will accelerate after the elections.
