webfact
Call in the elephants! Train breaks down blocking road to Pattaya gardens The director of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Pattaya was about to call in the elephants when a train carrying crude oil blocked the road to the tourist attraction. Train #630 with 32 bogeys weighed 128 tons and was unable to go up a rise. Dozens of staff from Nong Nooch were dispatched Sunday around midday to try and shift the train. But it wouldn't budge. So director "Khun Tong" decided to bring in the "heavy artillery" - 100 mahouts and their elephants were summoned to save the day. However, just as the pachyderms were being readied the staff of the train managed to get it moving up the hill and traffic, backed up a long way, was able to reach the gardens.
