cdnhawk
My Non B expires in March. Can I change it directly to a Non O marriage visa or do I have to go out of the country and get a tourist visa and then apply for a marriage visa?
elviajero
It depends on the office you apply at. In theory they can change the reason for your extension to stay from work to marriage, but they could refuse on the grounds that your visa was issued specifically for work. If you have to go out of the country you are better off applying for a Non 'O' rather than a Tourist Visa. Applying for a non 'O' in the country is a pain. A Non 'O' is easy to get in Laos and without any financials. When you return with the new visa you can apply for a 1 year extension based on marriage within the last 30 days of your 90 day entry.
