webfact
German man found dead in bed by daughter in Phitsanulok Picture: Sanook The Thai daughter of a German man found her father dead in bed in Phitsanulok yesterday. Nannaphat, 29, had last spoken to her dad at the weekend and called to check up on him at his house in Din Thong sub-district but got no reply. So she went round and found him dead in bed. Hans Jurgen Brandel (name transliterated from Thai), aged 76, had been suffering from high blood pressure and heart disease for some time. Medics found him dressed only in shorts in his own bed. He had been dead three to four days. There were no suspicious circumstances. Source: Sanook -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2019-02-

GinBoy2
Tragic story, all too common, a farang dying alone in Nakhon Backofbeyond. It's often not a case of, who we want to live with, but who we want to die with. RIP
geriatrickid
The man did not die "alone". His daughter spoke to him a few days ago and came by to check up on him. That is hardly "alone". Why must people turn this into a melodramatic event? If the man had an ongoing relationship with his daughter such that she was checking up on him, it suggests he was just fine in respect to having family. Why would one expect the poor fellow to be surrounded by family and friends when his heart gave out?
