PATTAYA:--Forty blind cyclists and their escorts stopped for a photo op in Sattahip during their trek across the country to raise funds for a vocational-training center for the disabled.

Sattahip assistant district chiefs Pikul Sopa and Sittiporn Sangsawang joined Najomtien Moo 6 village chief Duanjit Subna at the “Cycling with No One Left Behind” event Feb. 11.

The 20 blind cyclists, guided by 20 escorts are cycling 1,500 kilometers across 15 provinces from Feb. 9-22 to raise funds the ASEAN Vocational Training Center in Chiang Mai to give blind and disabled people more opportunities to be self-sufficient.

It looks like they where around the "Kow Chee Jun"  area   so really no where near the Pattaya madhouse, there is even kilometres of nicely painted blue cycle lane...

that apparently gets used quite a lot ( though I've never seen it used )

I just noticed they are riding tandems...wondered how on earth could someone totally blind ride a pushbike ????
