I guess as long as the Chinese come here and exchange their money for Baht Thailand will be happy. May I introduce the zero-baht tour into evidence, your honour. In Vietnam one year term deposits are currently paying 7.8% p. a. 6 months is paying 7.2% p.a. Deposits have to be in VND which is very stable against the $US. I have had a reasonable size deposit there for over 12 years and never had a problem.
lipflipper
And still the Bank of Thailand ignores this and keeps the Baht strong. More and more Thais are being effected by this blatant manipulation but do you think the Upper Class and their millions of Baht care one iota? The Thai middle class and of course those not so fortunate are being punished and their pleas go unanswered.Sent from my CMR-AL19 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
