konisaan
I'm renting so an 'on tap' system like those made by Brita seems to make the most sense (but open to suggestions). I have seen Brita on tap systems selling on Lazada, but there seem to be many coming from China at ridiculously low prices (obviously fake) so I think it's better to buy from a reputable store.. I used to use the water machine in my building (maintained by another company, not the building owner) but noticed a white residue where the water has splashed and dried. canthai55
We have 2 Filtex FT-220 5 filter setups. Easy to plumb under sink, comes with a pipe thread adaptor and small valve so you can turn off the water to change filters. In our Tessaban we only change sediment filters twice a year. Change charcoal taste filters at the same time. Works well. Filters available at many outlets - get ours at HomePro or Big C Xtra. And when you leave, take it with you. The under sink area has poor access here so I think an under counter option would not work.
canthai55
The one we have in the kitchen is mounted on a wall, above and beside the sink. Just use the tubing supplied - there is lots - mount where you like.
jij
Five-stage reverse osmosis is considered by most as the best one can buy and it's only about 5,000 and you can easily uninstall when leaving.
moontang
Amorn Electric had a decent selection of medium cost filtration systems. A guest house I once visited had a built in the wall model, like a fountain, but it was also electric, and still not cold, but delivered very good tasting water..no coin required.
