Nothing to do with human rights and everything to do with the principle that nobody, including government ministers, is above the law.

 

That incidentally is not a principle that is only supported by liberals.

Well Pedro, obnoxious, ghastly and desperately misguided as the creed to which she has attached herself is, she has human rights. And one of those, as a British Citizen, is not to be rendered stateless. Another one, as a British Citizen, is the right to return to the UK.

 

Her having human rights, despite what she has been party to, is one of the main things which distinguishes our society from the barbarous system she went to join.
