Vientiane - Online Appointment Procedure

For applications for visas in the Vientiane consulate, online registration for an appointment to apply is required. One must first establish an account online.

As well as name and passport number, a telephone number is required. Is there a telephone call actually involved in the process? 

 

I have no telephone number. I can use the number of another person, but I wonder if this may cause trouble. Are applicants called as part of the procedure?

I registered and never got a phone call from them. So I would say you could use another number.
