webfact Posted March 13, 2019 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Jordanian child murderer: Jordanian wife and mother not involved Picture: The Pattaya News Immigration chief Lt-Gen Surachate Hakparn has said that the wife and mother of the little boy murdered by his Jordanian father is innocent of any involvement. The Pattaya News reported that the wife is also a Jordanian national. She was earlier said to be 24. The father had reportedly made many trips to Thailand - for the wife this was her first time. The father has been taken on a reenactment and was seen pointing at the spot on Bali Hai pier in South Pattaya where he tipped his son - tied by his feet to a pram - into the sea. The suspect has been named as 52 year old Wael Nabil Salman Zureikat. Earlier The Pattaya News reported that the mother of the child had filed a missing person's report on March 10th after finding her son gone. The father was found staying at Pornhouse but denied any knowledge of his son's disappearance or whereabouts. He admitted his crime only after interrogation after being apprehended on Monday night at Suvarnabhumi airport trying to flee Thailand. He has reportedly blamed lack of money for killing his child. He said he never wanted a child in the first place. Surachate said the Thai courts will decide his fate.
