samran
Just wanted to check what the latest on this is. Ive got some friends, both foreign. One of them is here on a extension of stay from a non B working for a large firm. Her husband and family are piggy backing of this. The husband has been offered a job here and has been told to head to a nearby embassy to get an non-B before they can start the WP process. Is this correct as I thought it was possible to just go straight to a work permit? Either way, no big deal as the new company will cover everything. Just that it would be a waste of a few days of travel if it strictly didn’t need to be done.
ubonjoe
The problem is that the work permit application would not be accepted with that reason for the non-o visa or extension of stay. If they accept the application then the next problem might be immigration changing the reason for the extension to working. Some people have had to leave the country and get a tourist visa so they could apply for the work permit and then go out again for the non-b visa unless they were to able to do an application for a non immigrant visa at immigration.
