Power cuts to hit Cherng Talay

PHUKET: The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) Thalang office has announced that the electricity supply will be shut off in Cherng Talay on Friday (Mar 22) as works are carried out on installing new high-voltage power cables.

Tolls on two motorways waived April 10-18 for Songkran

For the Songkran break, Thailand’s cabinet on Tuesday decided to waive tolls on the Bangkok-Pattaya and Bangkok-Bang Pa-in-Bang Phli motorways effective midnight on April 10th until midnight on April 18th.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia on Wednesday cut its annual intake of immigrants by nearly 15 percent, and barred some new arrivals from living in its largest cities for three years, in a bid to ease urban congestion.

Kamala doubles up on ozone wastewater-treatment for filthy canal

PHUKET: A second ozone generator water-treatment machine is being installed at the Pak Bang Canal in Kamala and will come online this Friday (Mar 22) in the hope of cleaning the filthy water that now runs through the channel.
