Muang district police in Nakorn Sawan were called after a man armed with a cleaver robbed a 7-Eleven branch in Pom Neung district of the north/central Thai city.

CCTV showed the moments as the man - with a head covering and wearing a track suit - terrorized Nattawut Suksao and a female staffer in the store.

The robber escaped with 5,400 baht of the store's takings.

Police hope the clear footage and outside CCTV will give them a lead in the case.

I do not understand why the CCTV camera moves. It has probably been installed by a Thai engineer.

The video link is from someone taking a mobile camera capture of the CCTV monitor.

Shop assistant kept his cool, nice to see him step forward in-front of the girl & control the situation...

hope some CCTV outside the shop or up the road shows the guy or if a friend was waiting on a motorcycle.

I wonder if the annoying chime went "Hello !!! Welcome !!!" as he entered and left.

I'm always amused that there's a chime in English when 99% of their customers are Thai.  "Amazing Thailand" I guess
