CM Treatment of Vertigo r/t lying prone

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I've been having problems for a while now with vertigo that occurs when lying down.

Saw a Neurologist at Bangkok Hospital here in town - she gave me some medication that wasn't

effective and told me to return for a manipulation if necessary.

I may or may not return to her.

Anyone have a recommendation for someone in Chiang Mai specializing in vertigo?  Either ENT or Neurologist?

I did a search and all the info on this is 5 years old.

I was given Cinnatab for vertigo lately, the side effects were much worse than the problem itself.

Not taken that anymore but unfortunetly that seems to be the only medicine for it.

To be clear - is the problem is while you are lying down or immediately when you sit or stand up after lying down?

Are you on any medications? If so what

And do you know what your usual blood pressure is?

I ask because the problem might not be neurological at all.

When I lie down - eg - can't tolerate being lowered in a dental chair now or when I get a massage I need to prop up with pillows............BP monitored by internist regularly no medication needed........on no medication other than fish oil / vitamin d / zinc......hate to go back to Bangkok Hospital as it's such a profit oriented

operation.
