This is one of those off the wall observations.

 

I was just watching TV, and 'English on Tour' segment on C3, and it stuck me how much higher pitched she is when she speaks in Thai than English.

 

Then I realized it's the same when I talk to my wife in Thai it's a couple of octaves higher than when we speak in English. 

 

Now I don't notice it with my son, regardless of whether we converse in Thai or English, seems to be a female phenomenon
