No it wouldn't.

The Golan Heights isn't a Nation. Its a strip of territory. A strip of territory that in the past was used for the usual Arab sneaky offensive purposes. So when the Syrians finally manned up and tried to fight face to face, they lost. So now they don't get their little strip of shit territory any more. Waaah. Poor widdle Syrians.

Take it to the UN. You slap the giant you get slapped back and maybe you lose some teeth.

No point in taking it to the UN as Israel ignores any votes against them and the USA usually vetoes any motion against Israel.

And well both of them should.

No expert on Golan Heights and don't really care. However my read on this is turning blue Jewish votes red. It's just another step to handily defeating the dems who are pretty much going to find out the Jewish vote has jumped ship on them Trump is a pretty staunch Israel supporter for a man the left ironically calls a nazi.

The dems have assumed that they will always get that vote. There are going to be a few voting for Trump quietly while telling people who poll them the opposite. This is a big deal in places like Florida.

Okay time for outraged replies, I can already feel the vehemence coming.

Nice piece of wishful thinking. Do you have even a shred of data to support your contention? Because there's a mountain of it that says you're wrong.

Here's a bit from an article about a post election poll:

"The poll also showed 84 percent of respondents saying that “someone can be ‘pro-Israel’ even if they criticize the Israeli government’s policies,” and that 71 percent of the respondents support the Iran nuclear deal, which both Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been highly critical of. The poll showed that “Iran placed dead last in Jewish voters’ list of priorities, with just one percent saying it was among the top two issues in determining their vote.”

Although this is talking about Trump and US policy.

Might be worth remembering that in 1967, Israel didn't fight with US weaponry to take the Golan Heights, France at the time was the primary supplier.

And who actually created the middle east nightmare...Oh Yes the British & the French in their arbitrary carve up after WW1. The British mandate was a disaster in Palestine. It could have led to a orderly two State solution, but as with India & Pakistan it provided death and destruction.

So not saying US policy is perfect, but might be worthwhile reflecting on how we got here!
