230sej
I have been here on retirement extension for 7 years never leaving the country. I have recently married my UK partner of 25 years in Thailand and have the Kor Ror 2&3 documents. She is currently here on tourist visa. i want to clarify how to get her the correct dependent status to my pension etc i was told it was a simple matter of submitting a TM 86 with all relevant documents to get her the original 90 day O visa status at Immigration office and then in the last 45 days of the 90 day O get her the dependent O visa extension as myself submit documents again My local Immigration office say she must get O visa outside the country. im very confused as the TM86/87 forms seem clear to me
ubonjoe
Immigration does not do a change from a tourist visa entry to a non immigrant visa entry for family members of those on extensions of stay based upon retirement. She will have to apply for a single entry non-o visa at a nearby embassy or consulate.
230sej
If she goes to Penang. Does she take copies of all my papers, passport, extension, financials etc and the marriage document copies and her passport and submit O visa application on basis of dependency based on my paperwork. She can't meet financials on her own right Thanks Ubon Joe 230sej
ubonjoe
She will need your marriage certificate plus a copy. Copies of your passport photo page, visa and extension of stay stamp signed by you. No need for financial proof.
