WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Friday handed in a long-awaited report on his investigation into Russia's role in the 2016 presidential election and any potential wrongdoing by U.S. President Donald Trump, setting off a clamour from lawmakers in both parties for the document's release.

WASHINGTON/JAKARTA (Reuters) - A U.S. lawmaker on Friday urged current or former Boeing Co and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees to come forward with any information about the certification programme for the 737 MAX, which has suffered two fatal crashes in five months.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday he would sue two of his main political rivals for libel, claiming that they labelled him a traitor over a graft scandal involving a German submarine deal.

BEIRA, Mozambique (Reuters) - Cholera cases were reported on Friday in the Mozambican city of Beira, adding a risk of deadly illnesses for hundreds of thousands of people who are scrambling for shelter, food and water after catastrophic flooding in southern Africa.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - A man suspected of killing three people in a shooting aboard a tram in the city of Utrecht this week admitted his guilt to a judge on Friday and has said he acted alone, Dutch prosecutors said.

Over 1,000 suspects nabbed in crime sweep

In a month-long crime sweep, police nabbed more than 1,000 suspects and seized 143 firearms, 52,791 meth-amphetamine pills, 316 grams of crystal meth, 1,392 kilogams of marijuana and 235kg of krathom leaves, Provincial Police Region 8 chief Pol Lt-General Pongwuth Pongsri said on Friday.
