As part of an ongoing manhunt for a South African man who allegedly killed a Thai jewellery businesswoman at the weekend, police have contacted Interpol for help in locating the suspect, who has reportedly fled to Hong Kong, Immigration Bureau commissioner Pol Lt-General Surachate Hakparn said on Monday.

PHUKET:-- Three parasailing operators at Kata Beach were found today to have unsafe parasailing equipment, the Phuket Marine Office has confirmed.

Thai Airways International (THAI) president Sumeth Damrongchaitham on Monday said the ballots from advance voting by Thais in New Zealand had arrived at the carrier’s cargo centre on Saturday evening, but no one came to pick them up until the morning of the election.

In a statement released yesterday, the People Network for Elections in Thailand (P-Net) said vote-buying was prevalent in many areas of the country, especially the North, Northeast and Central regions. This apparently happened a few nights before the ballot.

BA flight lands in Edinburgh instead of Düsseldorf by mistake

 

A British Airways flight destined for Düsseldorf in Germany has landed in Edinburgh by mistake, after the flight paperwork was submitted incorrectly. The passengers only realised the error when the plane landed and the "welcome to Edinburgh" announcement was made.
