webfact Posted March 25, 2019 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Joint operation nabs suspected online seller of protected-wildlife products, 47 pieces seized By The Nation The National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department’s Phaya Sua task force on Monday joined forces with police and related officials in Ratchaburi’s Suan Phueng district in arresting a Thai man for the alleged sale of protected-wildlife products online. They made the arrest after seizing 47 pieces of incriminating evidence from the property they searched during the operation, department official Panatchakorn Phobundit said. Officers had a search warrant for a house in Tambon Tha Keuy where the suspect, Adul Matleuang, presented himself as the home-owner. After they found 23 pieces of clouded leopard skin, 13 pieces of Asian golden cat skin, nine pieces of leopard cat skin, and two pieces of muntjac horn – together said to be worth Bt408,700 – the man was arrested and taken to Suan Phueng police station for further legal processing.
