Seksit Wangpho, 26, who was arrested at 9am, confessed to the rape and put it down to inebriation. The suspect said that after drinking with six of his friends on Tuesday, he decided to drop one of them home at 2am on Wednesday. Upon arriving at his friend’s place, which is just 300 metres from his own home, he saw the mother sleeping alone, so decided to rape her. The victim then called her daughter, who in turn rang the 191 emergency hotline. Police said the suspect had been released on February 18 after serving a jail term for raping a minor.
