Sanook said in their headline that it was "Amazing Thailand" after an Iranian was robbed by a female pickpocket while walking with his girlfriend in Walking Street Pattaya yesterday. 

 

Sadejh (name transliterated from Thai language), aged 32, told Lt-Col Nathawat Ploenjit investigating that a Thai woman had come up to the couple and given him a hug. 

 

He did not want her attentions and the woman melted into the crowds. 

 

Then the Iranian realized he had lost the about 20,000 baht and valuable documents and went straight to the police.

 

The cops are studying CCTV to try and get a lead in the case. 

 

Using the term "Amazing Thailand" gained popularity in the kingdom after a series of tourism promotions in the 1990s.
