rooster59 Posted April 6, 2019 Share Posted April 6, 2019 Troops prevent fire spreading from Myanmar to Thai community By The Nation Army troops successfully prevented a forest fire in Myanmar from reaching a Thai community on the border in Chiang Rai's Mae Sai district on Friday night. The forest fire started in Myanmar's Thachilek on the opposite side of Mae Sai, not far from the Doi Chang Mub operation base of the Pha Muang Task Force. The troops managed to put out the fire as it spread to the Thai side at 11.30pm. At the same time, a forest fire spread from the area opposite, from Tambon Wiang Pha Kham, and fire engines of a local municipality managed to put out the flames before they reaching a village on the Thai side.
