Bangkok teacher's charity run raises Bt3.87m for Kanchanaburi hospitals

By The Nation

A Bangkok teacher continued into the eighth day of his charity run on Saturday to raise funds for two hospitals in Kanchanaburi.

Natthawat Rojsuthee resumed his run from Moo 4 village in Tambon Tha Sao in Kanchanaburi's Saiyoke district at 5am.

He is scheduled to reach his destination at Thong Pha Phum Hospital on April 9.

Natthawat, a physical study teacher at Yothin Burana School, began his run from Bangkok to raise funds for the Thong Pha Phum Hospital and the Sangkhalaburi Hospital.

So far, Bt3.873 million has been donated to Krung Thai account number 677-9-31846-9 and his PromptPay number 0807802549.

On Saturday, Waiwit Saengphanit, director of the Vajiralongkorn Dam in Thong Pha Phum district, pledged Bt50,000 from the dam management.

Waiwit said he appreciated the teacher's sacrifice of his free times during the summer holidays to make the charity run.
