The warning came as a Facebook poster reported on the crude attempt to change the number on a Bangkok taxi. At first glance it looks like 1 มก (mor gor) 7903. Closer inspection shows that it was originally something else. Karoon Unicon noticed this on a cab in the Bangkapi area of Bangkok. Netizens were concerned about reporting the number in the event of a crime. Top lawyer Ronarong Kaewpetch told Daily News Online that doing something like this contravened Article 265. That could result in a jail term of between 6 months and five years and fines from 10,000 to 100,000 baht. Thaivisa notes that here was no word yet on the driver being arrested - if indeed he can be found.
