Robiewest
Hi folks, Real quick question. Wife is Issan we're relocating to Chiang Mai area. I wanted to get an idea of real health insurance cost for farangs in the area. I'm getting quotes all over the board from insurers. It's for myself only as wife is Thai and is also covered via her job. I'm 57 take meds in the states but generally healthy. What are you paying? Monthly, annually? Thanks in advance for the feedback. Sheryl
Moved to the insurance forum. there have been numerous threads on this here. See among others https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1077110-health-insurance-for-expats-over-65-in-thailand/ There is no difference in health insurance in Chiang Mai vs anywhere else in Thailand and indeed, for internationally issued expat health insurance no difference between Thailand and neighboring countries. The only CM specific aspect is that there is a group plan available through the CM Expat club with HCI. At 57 premiums range around USD $2-3,000 a year. They will go up noticeably after 60 and even more so after 65 and 70.
