Yes and your Perth Glory man who fled the Kalgoorlie dust for a rocky outpost in Greece has been appointed Melbourne Victory coach starting July.....apparently lasted 9 games before getting sacked....when you coach in soccer you get knife proof vests to wear....Ho we have been so kind to Simon Goodwin, Davie Teague and a few others.....

That was a shocker Will,only watched 1st quarter then went over to gold coast who were impressive against an undermanned backline of the swans.

The score in bottom of screen only rolled over for one side.

Even though we had 4 AA's and a Norm Smith medalist out, and lost McGovern early, good sides don't get beat by nearly 100 points.

 

Put a fork in us, we're done.

 

Our only hope is to be competitive at home until we get some troops back.

 

If WC don't make it, would like to see a Port/Melbourne GF.

 

Had enough of Richmond winning it and the Bulldogs just keep on getting kissed on the dick by the umps.

Yes that was 1965 and just off the back off a Grand Final win, of course we all know what happened shortly after dont we....(didnt even make the finals that year) south south south we did go and have stayed there for ever and a day, briefly flying high first under Northey then later Danhier, Saints and Dogs have had more success since then than us who were the perennial basket cases of the VFL after the Hawks and check book North resurgence....

 

I can assure Fj even we play you on the moon its a % booster for us next week....after North Swans then Blues.....put down your glasses.....could easily go 9-0........

 

Its deelightful to be relaxed so early in the season but if you think i think were actually going to win something this year your mistaken....this team are well known for falling in a deep pit at some point....under Northey at least 3 season if not more we would be sitting around 3rd of 4th only to loose the last 5 games of the regular season end up 8th and in the elimination final.....yes we were good at getting out of that untill the Cats stitched us up one year never to return to finals until uncle Neil turned up.....

Well bad news........the Polly Waffle has been postponed due to corvid....how dam inconsiderate has this virus been? Gees i can put up with lockdown and travel bans.....been eyeing the lolly shelves of both safeway and coles.....nothing.....zilch.........so i googled it maybe end of the year or this time next....apparently they have to import some of the machinery that makes it....like its rocket science.......i blame Bob Hawk and Keating for this.....friggs they destroyed out manufacturing they did.....no one left in the land to build a lolly machine.....

 

If the Dee's keep winning it might come in navy blue and red wrapping men.....Im going to buy the entire shelf when they finally arrive.....the Vanila slice, Twistes cheese of course and the Polly Waffle was what i was brought up on lads.....

 

By the way Twisties have a new flavour, the cheeseburger....its so so......stick to the cheese its been around for more than 50 years....never seen the extra cheese or pizza ones so you know they cant be much chop.....

Not Jack's car, a cheap lower end Volksie suv, all in black with black rims...means its owned by someone under 40.... prob a mate, Jack would own something like a M3 BMW or at a rock bottom min a Golf R as there like the highest end off Volsie you can get with no change under 55,000.....maybe 60 as the GTI is now around the 50 mark....and the R is normally 10 gees more expensive...

 

Yes mate VW's are everywhere...gone are the clapped out Bettle days half the nation owned.....sounding like lawn mowers as the passed....

 

Its SUV heaven here in the land of Oz.....there taking over...VW are realising performance Suv's now Jeep have one so there becoming the norm....

Fridays follies on Wednesday as im expecting to be busy next few days.....

 

Firstly i like too complain about the AFL website and there app....there for ever turning them selves off....cant stay logged in...especially with the phone app...so i discarded the one on the phone and now use something else, since im relaxed due to being 6 and zip i wont go on about what i actually think of them and the AFL....

 

Round 7.....the make you or break you round......

 

Tigers oh dear up against the Bulldogs.....in the past i would say Tigers by a mile as they dont loose 2 in a row but precedent has been set early this season....yesterdays heroes they are becoming...and just like the USA still relevant in a dieing way.....they cant take long bursts of pressure anymore, a few have dropped off the planet face.... in need of a refresh and back to the draft next year....

 

Pies should get over the Suns...should....but you know.....there expecting to climb the ladder....thats the Suns......are the Pies done? is Buckly finished? this game will reinforce that Buckley should be resigned or turfed on to the scrap heap...well I think the Pies should have enough carrot juice in them to get over the line just, if they dont there heading bottom 4 and its bye bye Nathan....

 

Crows at home to GWS.....wow another flip a coin game....when in doubt get your dart board out......you would think home ground would be the advantage here.....but them Gaints are a steely lot....they eat spinach you know.......like Popeye.....as we know not all the favourites win and ever few rounds it serves up a reset....so pick at your peril....

Lions in Brisbane WILL loose to Port....there going well.....the Power....Big Joe wont win them a flag....gone to retire on the coast enjoying the sunshine and out of the fishbowl.......players tired off Kochie win to shut him up.....

 

Swans @ home to the Cats...well they arrived last week....5 weeks late....so you know......Cats have started there roll.....young teams go missing and its likely most Swans WILL be AWOL this weekend as well....stuck in the coffee shops of Bondi watching the waves roll in......

 

In the match off the round.....wont matter where this game is held, its meant to be played in Hobart on sunday.....you die of boredom in Hobart on a sunday.......its most likely they will want this game played elsewhere as the Hobart Roos wont want a 100 point drubbing at home...even though the Hobart fans WILL want to get out of the house just to get out of the house.....WILL witness a smooth butcher machine carving the Roos up for the supermarket pet food shelves......I been to Hobart twice in my life....its on an island south of Melbourne......its actually a nice and becoming a funky town....lots of hills and water views where ever you go....and weather is a lot more nicer than Melbourne even if cooler....around 4 pm in the afternoon a nice icy feel descends on your persons....dont get caught in Hobart without something warm to wear like i did once....

 

Essendon vs the Blues.....well men im going the Blues here....and no its not pressure from Radar...its the law of averages maths.....this is the week of corrections.......not that it will mean its correct...ho no...its just the maths like it has its own rules....and they dont align with modern thinking.....There due to get up and snatch one and lets face it the Bombers arnt really anyone are they......so the law of corrections WILL apply here.....

 

The derby......WCE wont want to loose this one and they rally do....though its a good time for Freo to snatch a win here.....the Law of corrections works here too......but but you say your going for the Eagles so how does the law of corrections work.....well im glad you asked....in this case its Freo's intensions of snatching a win....you see ever since the derby was born in the way off west were no one goes as its cheaper to fly into many destinations in Asia Freo have this idea in there minds that they WILL win the derby though in reality hardly ever do....and thats what the law of corrections WILL do....stymie there minds idea that they can win......

 

Of course my picks are subject to change based on team selections and how cold it is in Melbourne on the weekend......
