Photo:Tanyaluk Sakoot PHUKET: Phuket Provincial Police Deputy Commander Col Pakin Na Ranong has made it plain that his officers will be cracking down on drunk drivers over the Songkran Thai New Year holidays, including filing murder charges against drunk drivers deemed responsible for accidents resulting in death. Col Pakin explained that move to use murder charges against drunk drivers involved in fatal accidents follows Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon announcing the policy shift in Bangkok last Friday (Apr 5). The order is to be in effect during the Seven Days of Danger national road-safety campaign from aprill 11-17.
