chiangrai
I just have 2 simple questions about dealing with online sellers. First I bought something in England with a tracking number. I contacted them when they didn't send me my tracking number and they said that they have shipped my item but they wouldn't get the tracking number for a week and that it takes a month to get to thailand. Does that sound fishy to you. The other question is very simple.I got an email for an order that I paid for and they sent me back an email that said the order is "complete". The parcel is late and they are not answering my messages. Does "complete" mean sent or is something wrong.
worgeordie
Where are you ordering from ?,Ebay,Amazon ? they should have the tracking number quickly, although it can take a few days from Aliexpress, The order is Complete, should mean you have received the parcel , as i said i don't know whom you are ordering from, with the main reliable suppliers you have some protection if goods don't arrive, ditto your credit card if that's what you paid with regards worgeordie
CharlieH
Sounds to me you may have used a "drop shipper" or affiliate marketer. This means they dont actually handle anything, they advertise and sell for someone else on commission. Thats why they dont have the tracking number as they arent doing anything in reality. AirMail from UK to Thailand standard Airmail is generally 7 -10 days. "Completed" generally is dispatched/sent.
Lacessit
Unfortunately, there are online sellers who fail the honesty test. I tend to rely on customer feedback, although even that can be faked. I avoid anything that has a Hong Kong origin. I was once the victim of a scam with golf shafts, where the supplier in the USA sent shafts which were inferior to what they advertised. I asked eBay to blacklist them, and eBay did nothing. I have a couple of trusted online suppliers who have never let me down. Picking out reliable online suppliers is a labor of Hercules. chiangrai
I'm buying from two private websites, not Ebay or anyone like that. What you said makes some sense CharlieH. Maybe it's not coming from England by airmail if it's going to take a month and it's already been shipped

Everywhere else is generally within 14 days (subject to customs)
Isaanbiker
Iw as the victim of a website that basically didn't really exist. A shop in Europe sent me the link to the website, I've ordered a part, but never heard from them again. Money was sent via credit card and I can be happy that they didn't use it for other purposes, I was so stupid! Then I started to Google, should have done that before! These days it's easy to find out if a website is fishy. People using an ordinary Gmail, or other address and you'll find emails from unsatisfied customers. That's why I prefer websites like e-bay where I will get my money back if something goes wrong. be careful out there, it's a jungle!

And Google the website to be sure. There are too many gangsters out there who take innocent peoples' money. Best of luck!
