Video: Bus driver attacked after "going too fast" in Songkran playing area

Several young men - angry that a bus driver had driven too fast while they were throwing water - chased him to the garage in Huay Kwang. 

 

Then Saman, 54, the driver of Route 12 was assaulted on his bus. 

 

Reports on Sanook suggested he was hit with the conductress's ticket issuing drum. 

 

A video of the incident was posted on Facebook on the "Nangseuphim Tai Santisuk" page. 

 

A representative of the bus company said that Saman had encountered heavy traffic in a Songkran playing area near the Huay Kwang clock tower. He turned round in order to get his passengers to their destination and in so doing angered people in the area. 

 

He was chased by several drunk men on motorbikes who then boarded the bus near the garage as the driver let passengers off. 

 

A police report was filed and later two men handed themselves in.
