bbi1
Does anyone know what't the cheapest one-way ticket out of Thailand to a neighbouring country? Is it from Phuket to Penang the cheapest route? Which airlines are the cheapest too?

ubonjoe
Flights to Kuala Lumpur from Hat Yai, Surat Thani and Hua Hin on Air Asia are lower than flights from Don Mueang.
Jaxxper
Surely some of the online travel service providers are the way to go if you want cheap flights? Hint , don't be fussy about the times. inconvenient flights are often cheaper. Busses are also another source of travel. Not a problem if you have no schedule to meet as they are of course slower. lvr181
Pre purchased a "throw away ticket" from Phuket to KL sometime ago & it was really cheap, before arriving Thailand. Immigration happy on arrival, no hassles! Didn't use it, of course. Eventually flew out of BKK on a date and time that suited me nearing the end of my 30 day stay. Google is your answer. AAArdvark
There is a feature with the online booking site of skyscanner which allows you to pick a departing airport and then enter "anywhere" in the destination. It will then give you all the flights out in order of price.

thecyclist
Hadyai to Malaysia most likely, around 800 Baht, if you require a throw-away ticket. Just Skyscanner Thailand to anywhere.

asanee
ALL INT tix out of Th carry the unavoidable 700 THB tax in them-which means that around 1000 is a realistic minimum. Even on AirAsia they will refund-not in short time-that 600 out of the 700 THB tax of not used. NO airline is consistently always the cheapest, though the many budget carriers will be cheaper as the old traditional ones. For purpose of checks on POOT (proof of onward travel) ONLY AIR tix count, buses will not, plus that its about impossible to get such tix anyway online. The 2 month tourist visum is also 1000 THB and avoids all that hassle=same price!
