A Thai woman severely injured her British husband with a knife following a quarrel at their rented room in Pattaya early on Tuesday, police said.

After being alerted of the incident at 6.30am, police and rescue workers rushed to the Pandia Apartment on Soi Bua Khao of South Pattaya in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district.

Rescuers performed first-aid treatment on Benjamin Laister Crowson, 28, and rushed him to a nearby hospital. He had cut wounds on both legs and his left arm.

Police took his wife, Monthita Buatong, 23, into custody and said they would interrogate the Briton before deciding the charges against her.

Monthita told police that she and Crowson had just returned from drinking outside overnight when her husband started a quarrel by cursing her parents, and so she had become angry and attacked him with a knife.

Unsure why they would "interrogate" the Brit before deciding on charges. God knows they wouldn't do that if the stabbing was the other way round

Probably trying to get him to drop the charges. That way the BIB will not have to work to hard.

The British soi in Pattaya strikes again.

Never argue with a drunken wife. Or any Thai, they only need one small reason to kick your face, stab you to death etc.

Anyone who's been drinking all night!

You reckon?

Got any evidence for that?

I was quoting the news article (hence the exclamation mark): "Monthita told police that she and Crowson had just returned from drinking outside overnight when her husband started a quarrel"

Looks hardly severe to me, A few cuts to the legs and arm, not a biggie...

Been there done that, still got the scar.:cheesy:

Hell hath no fury like a Thai woman with a knife. Running his mouth about her parents is one way to get seriously cut.

Still, he's only 28 and she's 23, a marriage made in heaven on its way to hell..
